Ears Wide Open: Glorious Wondour

Glorious Wondour by Stefan Junir

The space explorations of O.C. trio Glorious Wondour are powered by Matt McKenzie, Thomas Dumont and Tony Tancredi, who with phasers firing and bass lines in overdrive, took off this spring when they unveiled their first single “Lunar Love.” (Come for effects, stay for the sample at the 3-minute mark.) The trio’s second single is the similarly transportative “Shadows,” a soundscape-y jam that sounds like a fever dream imprisoned in a video game. They call what they do “orgiastic binary super wave,” but whatever: It’s the kind of psychedelia that warrants a long-player and some refreshments. The band is working on the former, perhaps for release this year; the latter is up to you.
