Atlas Genius

Australian brothers Keith and Michael Jeffery — who tickle ears and move feet as Atlas Genius — set up home base in Hollywood after enjoying success with their debut album, 2013’s “When It Was Now,” and its gold-selling single “Trojans.” They’ve now completed work on the follow-up album. “Inanimate Objects” will be out Aug. 28 via Warner, and the first two singles pick up where their debut left off, with big, crisp dance-pop that, like stadium mainstays such as Phoenix, has appeal for both rock and EDM fans. Of “Stockholm,” the single released today, Keith Jeffery writes: “As you might have guessed, I wrote this song in Sweden. I had just been discussing the experience of being caught in a hurricane with a friend, and I had this image of the flooding basement stuck in my head.” The song’s big chorus is liable to get stuck in yours.
