About
From 2002 until mid-2008, Kevin Bronson wrote the weekly Buzz Bands column and blog for the Los Angeles Times, tipping readers to myriad unsigned artists such as Silversun Pickups, Cold War Kids, the 88, the Little Ones and the Airborne Toxic Event, as well as live-blogging from the Coachella and Detour festivals and the Warped Tour and making his blog a go-to source for L.A. news and reviews.
Now, Buzz Bands sets out on its own, scouting L.A. and environs for the most promising emerging artists, providing crisp interviews and perspective, offering capsulized album and show reviews and touting the best new videos and upcoming shows. Watch Buzz Bands for downloads and podcasts, and tune in to Little Radio every Friday at 10 a.m. Pacific time for the Buzz Bands show.
Who is Bronson? He’s a lifelong newspaperman — well, until the Times’ massive workforce reductions. He’s the kind of guy who adores caffeine, judicious use of falsetto and the 6-4-3 double play, and abhors exclamation points, modern country music and any notion that New York City is the center of the cultural universe. And he promises this is only place on this site where he’ll refer to himself in the third person.
Say hello on MySpace. Hunt Bronson down on Facebook. Visit the estimable bloggers on his blogroll. Enjoy.

Did you help the Cold War Kids get big? If so…please undo that. Thanks
I’ll get right to work on that. Right after I get finished with this big piece on Iglu & Hartly.
That was the funniest come back I’ve read in quite some time.
