[My favorites from another busy night; for more options, go here or here:]
Cold War Kids, whom I caught when they plied their true-blue indie blues on Jimmy Kimmel’s show on Friday night, perform on KCRW-FM (in the 11 o’clock hour) this morning and play the Music Box @ Fonda tonight. … “Sweet Dreams,” indeed: Eurythmics main man Dave Stewart has a lot going on — the release of “The Dave Stewart Songbook” (you can download four freebies in exchange for your e-mail address here), the launch of his Rock Fabulous clothing line and a show tonight at the Roxy as “Dave Stewart & His Rock Fabulous 30-Piece Orchestra.” Clear some room on the stage, will ya? … And the lovely, low-key indie act the New Year, who get some love in the local press today, play the Echo. Download “The Company I Can Get” here.

Better late than never, here’s the video for the Cold War Kids’ single, “Something Is Not Right With Me.”
