If tonight were any busier, the world might end. Oh, wait …
‣ Day 1 of the Silverlake Jubilee goes off on Myra Avenue between Santa Monica and Sunset, with some 30 bands performing on three stages. [Here are your set times.]
‣ L.A. quartet Saint Motel does another of its themed shows – this one’s “Judgment Day,” naturally. The supporting cast at the Roxy includes Vanaprasta, the Hundred Days and Queen Caveat.
‣ Echo & the Bunnymen headline Club Nokia, playing their albums “Crocodiles” and “Heaven Up Here” in their entirety. Kelley Stoltz supports.
‣ Yelle (with the French Horn Rebellion opening) plays the Music Box. That’s Yelle’s full-length edit of the video for “Safari Disco Club / Que veux-tu,” above.
‣ Other Lives [see Thursday’s post] visit the Satellite in support of Bon Iver’s S. Carey.
‣ 100 Monkeys rock the El Rey Theatre, with Sabrosa Purr opening.
‣ And the One AM Radio, its album “Heaven Is Attached by a Slender Thread” just out, plays an early show at the Echo in support of Houses.
