‣ Huge night at the Bootleg – Singer-songwriter, author and Throwing Muses co-founder Kristin Hersh [pictured] does an early solo acoustic show in the theater portion of the venue. Later, Josh Haden and Spain headline the Bootleg Bar behind their new album “The Soul of Spain.” Mike Watt + the Missingmen open.
‣ The Britt Daniel-Dan Boeckner-Sam Brown project Divine Fits plays a show at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Calvin Love supports.
‣ Electro-rockers Mad Planet play the Satellite behind their new album “Ghost Notes” (out today), with Ballerina Black and Tic Tic Boom! starting the party.
The Ross Sea Party winds up its residency at the Central SAPC in Santa Monica on a big bill featuring the Dead Ships and the Mid Cities.
‣ And Redd Kross does a live performance and signing (6 p.m.) at Amoeba in Hollywood to celebrate the release of their new album “Researching the Blues.”
