New month, new residencies and all that:
‣ British electro sensations Rudimental, whose appearance at this past weekend’s HARD Summer coincided with the U.S. release of their album “Home,” play It’s a School Night at Bardot, along with Mother Falcon and the Melodic.
‣ Art-rock quintet Kiev, finishing up their debut full-length “Falling Bough Wisdom Teeth,” kick off their residency at the Bootleg Bar on a Buzz Bands LA-hosted night featuring the Fling and Psychic Rites.
‣ The Janks, returning with a new EP “Meet the Janks,” have the residency at the Satellite, starting tonight with a supporting cast of King Washington, the Herbert Bail Orchestra and the Lucky Lonely.
‣ Cotillon rocks Mondays in August at the Echo, getting started tonight with Tropical Popsicle, the Shivers and Crown Plaza.
‣ And at the Silverlake Lounge, it’s the Cooling Time’s time. The Silver Lake Chorus, Nature Girl and Billie Jack also perform.
