Rambling Ways

Back in 2015 when they released their first single, Rambling Ways were going by the name NightOwl. Not much has changed, except the Echo Park quartet has upped their game when it comes to crafting groove-laden classic rock and soul.

Produced by Dan Moore, their new single “Take a Chance” is for head-bobbin’ and hip-swayin’, an ode to living in the moment that glides along on glossy vocals and keys until a nifty guitar solo at the break. The song, the follow-up to their 2019 EP “In Transit,” came to the quartet while they were on a family vacation in Big Bear — hence the footage they’ve used in the music video.

Speaking of family, that’s what Rambling Ways are all about. They are a band of two brothers and two cousins, first-generation Ecuadorian-Americans who grew up in Miami. Rambling Ways — singer-guitarist Daniel Focil, keyboardist Nico Kayser, bassist Xavier Aguilera and lead guitarist Bernardo Aguilera — have more on the way this year.
