ONLINE FINDS:

Weezer featured in LA Phil’s latest Sound/Stage performance release. The band collaborated with Assistant Concertmaster Akiko Tarumoto, arranger and conductor Rob Mathes, and members of the LA Phil and YOLA (Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles) on vivid, acoustic-driven arrangements of the band’s classic and newer songs from January’s “OK Human.” The segment begins with an interview of Rivers Cuomo and Tarumoto with KCRW DJ and Morning Becomes Eclectic host Novena Carmel (safely distanced), ahead of the band and orchestra rocking to “All My Favorite Songs” and “Buddy Holly.” Also check out the band’s much-anticipated “Van Weezer” album released last month.

■ Also, NPR Music hosted a listening party for Sleater-Kinney‘s new album “Path of Wellness” (released on Friday via Mom+Pop) followed by an interview with Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker with World Cafe host Raina Douris.

And enjoy a performance of the album, formatted as a weekly talk show that fans of awkward Portlandia will enjoy, featuring many of the band’s friends in both the music and comedy worlds.
