Pop phenom and dynamic dog owner Remi Wolf has been on a roll this year: Last month, she released the bodacious banger “Liquor Store,” and before that it was the single “Liz,” the remix EP “We Love Dogs!” and, back in February, her debut appearance on national late-night television.

All built on the momentum of her infectious 2020 EP, “I’m Allergic to Dogs!,” and led to today’s announcement that her debut album, “Juno,” will be out Oct. 15 via Island Records.

Her string of imaginative, damned-near-impossibly-fun singles continued today with a double-barreled release. “Quiet on Set” and “Grumpy Old Man” show off her penchant for infectious hooks and lightning-quick lyrical skills.

Of the album, she says: “Creating my debut album ‘Juno’ was like a fever dream. So many changes were happening in my life while I was creating these songs and I think my album really reflects the feelings of tension and release that these changes provoked in me. Every song on this record is a vivid snapshot into what was going on in my life and mindset the day I wrote each one. I hope my Remjobs can hear my honesty and passion come through and, if not, I just hope they think each song is a banger! The album is named ‘Juno’ after my beautiful dog I adopted during lockdown. He ended up being in every single writing session for this album and I consider him my partner, witness and support in the making of this record.”

And we’ll add this about “Grumpy Old Man”: Please do not, under any circumstances, get off my lawn.
