Add New York City four-piece the Postelles to the wave of young artists who are turning back the clock in an attempt to turn up the fun. Their sticky garage-pop finds its chewy center in vintage doo-wop and Motown, and ’70s punk, but with a distinctly modern swagger – imagine the Strokes meet the Kooks at a sock hop. Albert Hammond Jr. produced the debut “White Knight” EP from singer-guitarist Daniel Balk and his Manhattan-bred mates, and a full-length album is coming in July on Astralwerks/Capitol.
