Well, spike my eggnog. Here are three more holiday tunes – one sultry, one sarcastic and one spunky – from L.A. people getting into the spirit of the season. In a way:

8mm, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” One of our favorite L.A. husband-and-wife duos, Sean and Juliette Beavan (who released their “Love and the Apocalypse” EP earlier this year), have a holiday EP of jazzy pop songs titled “On a Silent Night.” Just add mistletoe. They’re performing Friday at the Viper Room (with Suicide Girl Jessica Goodwin sitting in on drums).

Dre (Andrea) Babinski, “It Doesn’t Rhyme With Sleet.” Babinski, who was the violinist in the (dearly departed) Dusty Rhodes & the River Band and recently toured with the Honorary Title’s Jarrod Gorbel, sent this DIY recording of a song she made while on the road. “Something’s in the atmosphere / it isn’t what you think.” Indeed.

The Dollyrots, “Messed Up Xmas.” Kinetic frontwoman Kelly Ogden leads her pop-punk trio on a spiky, bubblegum romp that keeps with the band’s theme for 2010 – in August, they released their third album, “A Little Messed Up.”
