[Some great bands headed west after SXSW, and the first wave hits town tonight:]

Tonight’s seriously good show selection:

Destroyer (that’s the video to the title track of their new album “Kaputt,” above) plays to a sold-out Troubadour, with  the War on Drugs and Devon Williams opening.
‣ U.K. trio Ebsen and the Witch headlines the Bootleg Theater, with vocal-looping specialist Julianna Barwick opening.
‣ Australian rockers the Jezabels do the early slot at the Satellite tonight supporting two of our favorite folks from the Northwest: Viva Voce – recently signed to Vanguard Records – and Damien Jurado .
‣ Austin’s Strange Boys, who are working a follow-up to their album “Be Brave,” visit the Echo, supported by the Fresh & Onlys / Natural Child @ The Echo ($10) ”“
‣ Swedish quintet the Soundtrack of Our Lives rock the Echoplex, with Nico Stai opening (and showing off some of his new material).
‣ Soul man Raphael Saadiq headlines the Music Box.
If By Yes, the new collaboration between Petra Haden, Yuka Honda and members of Cornelius, will be joined by Nels Cline and Trevor Dunn at their show at Largo.
‣ And it’s album-release day for local quartet Voxhaul Broadcast, who celebrate their new “Timing Is Everything” by doing a 7 p.m. in-store at Amoeba.
