The Belle Brigade, the new L.A. folk-rock outfit fronted by siblings Barbara and Ethan Gruska (pictured at SXSW), have their sights set on April 19, when their self-titled debut album comes out on Reprise Records. My profile of the Gruska siblings appears in today’s LA Weekly – check it out. Meanwhile, the band will be displaying its crisp, harmony-laden take on ’70s classic rock on tours supporting G. Love and k.d. Lang.

Enjoyed your BB piece in the Weekly. Saw you across the way at their Phoenix SXSW gig. I caught their last few songs as I was there for Chapel Club going on next. I’d say BB were my top 2011 discovery among SXSW groups I didn’t know much about. Flawless harmonies.
