[We hope everybody had a great Easter. Here are a few good eggs we’ve been meaning to share…]

Cold Cave, “Villians of the Moon” – Dark synth-poppers and recent Coachella standouts Cold Cave continue to tour heavily as they support their new album, “Cherish The Light Years.” They’ll be back in the SoCal area on May 13 at the Music Box. Their latest song, “Villans of the Moon,” isn’t as melody-heavy as “Life Magazine,” but they sure do make the guitar wail on this gothic dance track.

Here We Go Magic, “Hands in the Sky” – Also recently included in last weekend’s festival in the desert, Here We Go Magic is getting ready to release “The January EP,” which will be available May 10 via Secretly Canadian. “Hands in the Sky” is another loop-heaven track with Luke Temple’s eerily serene lyrics blanketing a dichotomy of gentle folk and driving art rock. Cavemen and Broken Social Scene’s Aroara will be joining them on North American tour.

Seapony, “Blue Star” – Lo-fi pop band Seapony are about to release their first full-length album, “Go With Me,” via Hardly Art on May 31, and the Seattle-based trio is teasing by offering “Blue Star.” (You can also grab “Dreaming.”) Their chord progressions may be simple, but the melodic hooks are consistently breezy and charming. They play the Echo on the day of their album release.
