Not only have L.A. sextet White Arrows picked up a lot of steam in recent months, they’ve proven themselves to be a little bit broader than the “electro Strokes” label with which they were immediately tagged. Frontman Mickey Schiff and bandmates work a little psychedelia and blues into the palette, and as White Arrows’ live shows have gotten stronger their flock has grown. Their forthcoming residency at the Bootleg (which comes on the heels of tour dates with Cults, White Denim and the Airborne Toxic Event) will be capped by the May 30 release of their self-titled EP. White Arrows also recently released a video for their cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Save Me a Place” … but, crabs?
