[Here’s a quick preview of three East Coast bands who will all be making the trek out to the west coast during the beginning of June.]

Hooray For Earth, “No Love” – NYC band Hooray For Earth first won us over with the addictive hooks on “Surrounded By Your Friends” last year, and now they’re about to drop their first full-length, “True Loves,” on June 7 via Dovecote Records. Ironically, the latest single is called “No Love, ” but what’s not to love? There are enough heavy beats in the recipe for perfect synth candy, and sing-along choruses make this jam … lovely. Noel Heroux and the gang support Architecture in Helsinki tonight at the Music Box.

The Antlers, “Every Night My Teeth Are Falling Out” – The Antlers follow up 2009’s highly regarded album “Hospice” with the release of “Burst Apart.” Whereas the former was one long beautiful yet depressing narrative of all the sick mentalities one metaphorically encounters, the latter sounds like they’re moving on. However, the trio doesn’t lose their distinct voice in storytelling. Lead vocalist Peter Silberman sings about the dream we’ve all had before but with new meaning. The Brooklyn trio plays the El Rey Theatre with Little Scream on June 3.

Wise Blood, “Penthouse Suites” ”“”“ Pittsburgh’s Wise Blood (aka Christopher Laufman) quickly crashed the indie party with his major ambition. Although the underground scene already has more mash-up artists than it can handle, Wise Blood claimed he was going to take over the world through his vision for pop music. Domination may be near because “Loud Mouths” was pretty slick but “Penthouse Suites” off his upcoming “These Wings” EP (due out in August) is just downright smooth. Wise Blood (whom we caught at SXSW) rolls in to town with Friendly Fires when they play the Music Box on June 10.
