Dominique Durand has been cooing at me since 1995. Yes, I’m sure it’s me (it has to be, right?) and not her husband and Ivy bandmate Andy Chase. Through four Ivy albums (one of cover songs), it’s always felt that way, with Durand’s vocals straddling the detachment that must come as standard equipment with Parisian blood and the intimacy inherent in the great pop songs the couple makes with Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne). The trio’s first album since 2005, “All Hours,” is due Sept. 10 on Nettwerk, and the first single, “Distant Lights,” integrates a little electronic mischief over a trance-like beat. It’s nice that Ivy has re-started our conversation. This one will be perfect for those long drives home at 1 a.m.
