It’s impossible to tire of well-executed choruses of “whoa-whoa,” as the the first single from Real Estate’s sophomore album “Days” will testify. The New Jersey psych-pop trio of Martin Courtney, Matt Mondanile and Alex Bleeker, who’ve added Jackson Pollis and Jonah Maurer to their live lineup, won plenty of acclaim for their melancholic machinations on their self-titled debut for Domino in 2009. The new album (due Oct. 18) was recorded in update New York earlier this year with Kevin McMahon (who’s worked with the Walkmen and Titus Andronicus). No L.A. tour dates on the horizon (but the band ends its current tour Aug. 2 in San Francisco).
