Video: Waters, ‘For the One’

Back in July, we updated you on Van Pierszalowski of the late (and possibly lamented) NoCal indie band Port O’Brien. Pierszalowski moved to Norway for a while, charted a new musical course and, presto, Waters was born. Waters’ debut album “Out in the Light” comes out next week, came out this week, and the flow of hooks and melodies that gave Port O’Brien its 5 minutes in the indie spotlight remains unchecked. More notable, though, are the urgency, energy and emotion Pierszalowski crunches into every chord and chorus. Similarly, director Allen Cordell packs a lot of imagery into the video for “For the One” – I think I know every character in the protagonist’s dream. And it’s a nightmare.
