AM & Shawn Lee – “Promises Are Never Far From Lies (Rob Garza Remix)” ”“”“ AM & Shawn Lee’s electro-pop sound in their track “Promises Are Never Far From Lies” gets an intense treatment from Thievery Coporation’s Rob Garza. It’s an outstanding translation considering how soothing the electronica from Garza’s band can also be.

Kevin Devine – “11-17 (White Sea Remix)” ”“”“ Brooklyn songwriter Kevin Devine gets a haunting layer via White Sea’s remix of his track “11-7.” Considering the fact that Morgan Kibby and Devine aren’t strangers, she does an excellent job as she brings out the raw emotion in her own separate technique. You can watch them both in an acoustic performance of the original song here. Also, check out Kibby’s remix of Active Child’s “Hanging On.”

Monarchy – “You Don’t Want To Dance With Me (Vivien Remix)” ”“”“ Monarchy’s dance pop tune featuring Britt Love is remixed by their own bass player, Vivien. The dark synths are taken out and the bass line is highlighted by mashing the song up with Glass Candy’s “Geto Boys” (which contains samples of various songs including a hip-hop group called Geto Boys and more).
