Kitten, the cherubic band fronted by still-teenaged Chloe Chaidez, has been paying its dues since releasing its “Sunday School” EP in late 2010. Tour, write, record, repeat, tour, write, record, repeat. Finally there is some news to report: The L.A. band will release a new EP, “Cut It Out,” on Aug. 28, with its debut full-length due to arrive in January. The EP’s title track sees Kitten moving away from its post-punk/rocker grrl beginnings toward a more electronic sound, with Chaidez sounding characteristically sensual and breathless, or at least as out-of-breath as some of her fans after her off-the-chain live shows. Purr on.
