Britt Daniel (Spoon), Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade) and Sam Brown (New Bomb Turk) have been hinting at their new supergroup Divine Fits for a while now, and their respective fans have especially been on the edge of their seats since a snippet of “My Love Is Real” was heard in a teaser video posted back in May. The driving synth-pop tune can now be heard in its entirety and a 7-inch single (with “I Was Born in a Laundromat” as the B-side) will be available July 31 via Merge Records. They’re based in L.A. for now while they record the rest of their full-length debut with producer Nick Launay (Arcade Fire, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Yeah Yeah Yeahs). Here’s hoping for a surprise show, Angelenos.
