It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Jeff Morisano, aka Kissed Her Little Sister. His self-released album “High & Low” was a refreshing twist on indie rock and hip-hop with Inspector Gadget-influenced tunes like “Cocaine.” After lying low, he’s finally released a follow-up album, “Sailor,” which is also offered as a free download in its entirety. Although generally more subdued then the hard-hitting beats heard on the previous record, Morisano has kept the nice juxtaposition of percolating rhythms and folk melodies in new songs like “That Was Only Wasting Time” – with chunks of jazz serving as bookends for his most lo-fi experiment.
