The video for IO Echo’s single “When the Lillies Die” is a trippy affair that nods to the Far East influences on the L.A. duo’s debut album “Ministry of Love” (due Sept. 11 on IAMSOUND Records). Yes, beneath all the reverb-y guitar and vocals are kotos and Chinese violins, because, well, IO Echo are all about layers and layers, of sound and meaning.
