We’ll leave the meter running while you check out Jonathan Hausfater’s video for the PAPA song, “Ain’t It So.” Or maybe we won’t. Maybe the meter ain’t even real. Maybe the pink suit that singer-drummer Darren Weiss is wearing isn’t real either, nor the taxi that bassist Daniel Presant pilots around the Paramount lot and beyond. And surely the waitress at 2:26 isn’t really Vanessa Long (aka Cillie Barnes), who also adorns the cover of PAPA’s first EP “A Good Woman Is Hard to Find.” That EP, which arrived with a bang almost a year ago, foreshadows some great things for Weiss and company, who just finished recording their full-length. Enjoying the ride.
