If there’s one band most indie-rock fans associate with dance, it’s the Faint. The electo-punk outfit, who made a successful splash with their 2001 debut “Danse Macabre,” will be re-issuing a re-mastered version of it Oct. 30 via Saddle Creek Records. The Omaha band will be celebrating this re-release in a big way to match their bombastic sound. Not only will they be going on tour in support of this version of the popular record, but the limited edition album will include six bonus tracks from the era as well as an extensive booklet, will be available on CD in a triple-disc format with a DVD, and on double vinyl that also includes the CDs and DVD. To kick things off, they’re offering a re-mastered version of the bonus track “Take Me to the Hospital.” The song, which repetitiously spells the title out during the chorus in the blithest of manners, is by no means a masterpiece. However, loyal fans may appreciate the cut.
