Expanding horizons – that’s “What We See” through the minds of two of L.A.’s brightest lights, Julia Holter and Nite Jewel. Their experimental electro sensibilities meld magnificently on a new song the pair has made for the forthcoming multimedia compilation “Dublab Presents: Lights from Los Angeles” (out Oct. 23). The collection (each song coming with a video made with Digital Harinezumi cameras) features tracks from Carlos Nino & Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, ESP, Dntel, Farmer Dave Scher Sun Araw and Lucky Dragons, among others. This video is the work of Delaney Bishop and Jose Wolff; as is the case when Dublab’s fingerprints are on a release, “Lights” figures to be a feast for the eyes as well as the ears.
