Don’t think girls are ruthless when it comes to fighting? Think again. As cute as their Ginger Rogers/Fred Astaire-inspired name is, the “blood red” also indicates Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell of British rock duo Blood Red Shoes can get down and dirty. One listen to the title track off of their latest album “In Time to Voices” while watching lead vocalist and guitarist Carter literally dig in to win only brings the band’s grunge, garage rock and riot grrrl influences to the forefront. Top body-builders aren’t as tough as they look. At least, that’s how director Craig Murray makes it look.
