The new single from Cold War Kids comes sprinting out of the gates on a lickety-split piano line, frontman Nathan Willett upbraiding himself in that bluesy tenor before drummer Matt Aveiro and new guitarist Dann Gallucci join the fray. It’s as exhilarating a four minutes fans have heard from the SoCal since Willett was complaining that “Something Is Not Right With Me,” only with better production values. The song is the first taste of “Dear Miss Lonelyhearts,” coming April 2, the Kids’ fourth album. The quartet just announced a national tour as well (including a date in May at the Fonda Theatre). Here, we’re just sitting back and watching the piano men race.
