Stream: Sean Bones, ‘United’

The last time Sean Sullivan (aka Sean Bones) perked our ears up, his sound seemed to stem from a newly-founded reggae foundation. Since 2009’s “RINGS,” he’s followed up with “Rhumba Beat” and “Buzzards Boy.” And with Fool’s Gold’s Garrey Ray and Lewis Pesacov help on the most recent album, it’s not a surprise that his latest single “United” offers crisp, Caribbean-tinted percussion along with another bright melody. We’ve yet to know if there is a follow-up to “Buzzards Boy,” but it wouldn’t be a shame if it maintained a similar thread. A sound palette has never suited Sullivan’s upbeat alternative sensibility so well.
