Last time it was Body Parts‘ video for “Doing Things” that piqued our interest. Their last album “On Purpose” was just as stimulating, and now the experimental pop quartet led by Ryder Bach gives us a taste from the new album with “Rest While You Sleep.” The new single (“Perfect Water” is the B-side) will be released on the label New Professor, and it’s a galloping tune with flirty guitar licks, compelling boy-girl harmonies and heavy percussion. All in all, it’s the sound of a triumphant arrival at the end of a wacky maze. Co-produced with Nick Tipp, Body Parts’ forthcoming record is slated for late 2013 release and “Rest While You Sleep” will be digitally available Feb. 19. Body Parts’ members also include Alina Cutrono (guitar/vocals), Raymond Proudfoot (bass/synthesizer), and Taylor Dexter (drums). File next to Dirty Projectors.
