KING has yet to announce a firm release date for their forthcoming debut “The Story,” but Amber and Paris Strother and Anita Bias have a lot of fans. With friends, family and new admirers packing the room to the gills, KING laid down the grooves and divine harmonies for an enchanting evening of R&B, jazz and soul. New songs were shared for the first time, but songs from the EP such as “Hey” and “Supernatural” were greeted with an eruption of cheers. Oh, and there’s word their mentor slipped in to watch and support. Three more weeks of magic with their opening act Moses Sumney are slated for every Monday (early show – doors open at 7:00 PM) this month at the Bootleg.
