It’s been almost two years since PAPA released their undeniably catchy tune “I Am the Lion King.” Since then they’re been relentlessly touring its EP, “A Good Woman Is Hard to Find.” Now they’re finally preparing for the release of their debut, which is slated for late summer 2013. The speedy soulful tune “Put Me to Work,” with its keyboard riff as driving as Darren Weiss’ drumming, has undoubtedly built up more anticipation for their forthcoming full-length. But they’ve released the 7-inch single’s B-side “If You’re My Girl, Then I’m Your Man” as another teaser. This one roars with Danny Presant’s bass lines as Weiss’ vibrato also rings out for romantic loyalty. PAPA’s “Put Me to Work”/”If You’re My Girl, Then I’m Your Man” 7-inch is available via Loma Vista.
