Dream-pop duo Magic Wands will join Beat Club, the Dead Ships, Dear Boy, Haunted Summer and Irontom on Saturday night, July 20, for the season’s second edition of Chinatown Summer Nights.

Music starts at 6 p.m. on the LA Weekly Live Music Stage just south of Chinatown’s Central Plaza on a night that features sets on the main stage from KCRW’s Jason Bentley and Mathieu Schreyer, as well as a host of art and cultural activities, a culinary stage, food trucks and a craft beer garden. The event is free and all-ages. The Live Music Stage is curated by Buzz Bands LA.

Magic Wands are working on a follow-up to last year’s album “Aloha Moon.” Their psychedelic concoctions are part of the night’s mix that includes Beat Club’s dance-party pop, edgy blues-rock from the Dead Ships and Irontom, post-punk-rooted indie-rock from Dear Boy and Haunted Summer’s soaring boy/girl indie-pop.
