Video: George Glass, ‘AM Radio’

Nothing Los Angeles quartet George Glass does is quite predictable, even when they are sonically raising a glass to their heroes. And they have plenty of those. In an era so many upstart bands can be described “doing the (insert decade and genre) thing,” Nicholas Ceglio, Nathan Kondor and Peter DiBiasio (abetted by Todd McLaughlin) have made a new album, “Welcome Home,” that in a manner of speaking celebrates everything all the time. You could list an encyclopedia of RIYLs, and they do, and still come away thinking George Glass is its own band. The poppy new single “AM Radio” has a shiny-happy-people feel, and the new DIY video for the song, the work of music blogger (and occasional Buzz Bands LA contributor) Ben “Mouse” McShane, turns that on its ear. “Welcome Home” is out Aug. 6. Meanwhile, what’s for lunch?
