It only seems like every other car on southern California’s crowded freeways is filled with a surf-punk or garage-rock band. Some of the latest contenders for three minutes of your undivided attention are Corners, who have followed up last year’s 10-song, 25-minute album “Beyond Way” with a new single, “My Baby,” via Lolipop Records. The trio of Tracy Bryant, Billy Changer and Rick Mabery have the formula down – raw licks, lo-fi production, peevish competing with crashing cymbals for sonic space. Turn up the AM radio in that Woodie, willya?
