Ears Wide Open: Scavenger Hunt

There certainly isn’t a shortage of boy-girl electro-pop duos in music right now, but if it happens to be your favorite genre Venice’s Scavenger Hunt may be your new favorite band. Comprised of composer Dan Mufson, who’s done his share of writing music for television, and jazz performer Jill Lamoureux, who is also one-half of folk duo Wing and Hollow, Scavenger Hunt doesn’t exactly make you trek too far for the treasure. Their debut single “Lost” actually does the opposite: It puts all the right elements in front. The duo doesn’t hide behind a facade; they embrace their love for synths, beats and silky melodies. Hard to deny a shimmering tune with a chorus that chants “Let’s get lost.” Scavenger Hunt has an EP in the works.

enjoy lost, met the band drummer tonight, wanted to meet the whole band, but seems like a pretty good tune and is enthralling me. Keep going. Great music.
