Ears Wide Open: Moons of Mars

Brothers Giovan Polanco and Mario Polanco have been making music together for the last 14 years but have only recently begun drawing crowds to shows they perform under the moniker Moons of Mars. Groups like Disclosure could possibly be slowly influencing more brother duos to come out of the woodwork, but no matter the actual reason. The Polanco brothers may be responsible for bulking up your electro-pop collection now that their self-released “Loser” EP is out. Featuring songs like the title track and “Seeing Is Believing,” Moons of Mars offer fraternal falsettos, dark pop-rock elements and a bit of R&B swagger. Sure, these guys may be moody, but they’re not losers.
