‣ It’s not Times Square, but downtown Los Angeles’ Grand Park is doing its best. “Grand Park NYE L.A.” will feature music from Fool’s Gold, Daedelus and Buyepongo, 3D projections on City Hall, art installations, food trucks and more. ‣ Electro whiz Robert DeLong heads up the Roaring Twenties-themed “Prohibition NYE” at the splendid Fred Harvey Room at downtown’s Union Station. Also: DJ set from Dr. Fresch, jazz from the Brian Swartz Quartet, open bar. $150. Tickets.
‣ All-star band Camp Freddy (Dave Navarro, Billy Morrison, Josh Freese and Chris Chaney, and hosted by Mark McGrath) does NYE at The Roxy. Count on plenty of special guests. $95. Tickets.
‣ The Entrance Band rings in the new year all psychedelic-like at The Satellite. $12. Tickets.
‣ Goo Goo Dolls do NYE at The House of Blues. $130 and up. Tickets.
‣ At the Mint, it’s gets all rootsy with “The Dustbowl Revival NYE Extravaganza,” with openers the Record Company, open bar and appetizers. $80 and up. Tickets.
‣ “OMFG! NYE 2014” brings German electro producer Boys Noize to The Shrine for a night that includes Madeon, GTA, DJ Snake and Brazzabelle. $40-$60. Tickets.
‣ And there’s more dance music at the Hollywood Palladium, where Borgore headlines a night featuring Carnage, Kennedy Jones, Riggi & Piros and the Buygore Allstars. $90. Tickets.
‣ Dutch house DJ Fedde Le Grand holds forth at Avalon Hollywood, along with Sultan and Ned Shepard. $85-$165. Tickets.
‣Â “Carnival at the Hall” brings Sergio Mendes and Sheila E. to Disney Hall. $70-$197. Tickets.
‣ NYC disco trio Escort teams up with L.A.’s Cayucas poolside at the Standard Hollywood, while Nosaj Thing and Groundislava hold forth at what they’re calling the Mmhmmm Club. Also on hand: Cosmic Kids, Magic Touch and Paul Tao will also be on hand. $40-$70 and up. Tickets.
‣ Meanwhile, at the Standard downtown, A Club Called Rhonda presents “Rhondapolis,” a four-room dance event featuring Peanut Butter Wolf, Derrick May, Francois K, Kevin Saunderson and more. $25-$60. Tickets.
‣ “I HEART NYE 2014” goes off at the Park Plaza with a roster of talent including Robbie Rivera, Richard Vission, Luciana, Darude, Sinden, Them Jeans, Brian Matrix, Savi, DJ MisterE, DJ Jeremiah Red from KROQ, David Garcia, Modus, Precept, Christian Ten, James Kennedy and DJ RCKWLL, plus sets by Raw Coco, Whild Style, Magic Bronson, DJ Serge and DJ Nold. $60 and up. ‣ Robert Levon Been of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club heads up the party at Harvard & Stone, where there’s burlesque and midnight toast. $25-$30. Tickets.
