The last time we saw Kera and the Lesbians, they were stealing the show at FOMO 2014. If Kera Armendariz and her crew seem to have more energy than you can handle, it’s because they’ve got a couple big things happening this year. After building some buzz around their rollicking, supernatural-like New Orleans folk with previous songs like “Gypsy Song” and “Nailbiter,” the quintet continues to feed the flame with a slew of free shows in February. To top it off, their debut EP “YEAR 23” finally drops Jan. 28 via Lollipop Records. Armendariz’s got the soul and her lads have got the harmonies to put more listeners on under their spell; we promise there’s nothing too spooky about that. In fact, we encourage walking right into the magic.
