Of all the ’80s-inspired electro-pop acolytes clamoring for applause right now, L.A. quartet Parade of Lights is going to land at least one gold medal. The latest single from Ryan Daly, Anthony Improgo, Michelle Ashley and Randy Schulte is “Golden,” an exuberant anthem that you are likely to hear in the NBC promotional campaign for the Sochi Winter Olympics. The song will appear on a forthcoming EP by Parade of Lights, now signed to Astralwerks after a couple of years of sledding around the indie scene. Is that a rush of synth we’re hearing, or did a four-man bobsled just whoosh past?
