Our staff picks of the week:
@KRBronson recommends: Tanned, rested and ready? Long-running Irish power-pop shredders Ash, fresh off a gig on the Weezer cruise, visit L.A. for the first time in nine years. They hit the Echo on Friday night, having recently returned to the studio to work, ostensibly, on their first album since 2007.
@Seraphina_L recommends: If you feel like your music diet is lacking some dream-pop, there are two days that will make you whole again. On Tuesday night Dum Dum Girls celebrate the release of their new album “Too True” (via Sub Pop) where Dream Boys and Roses support. If you’re looking for an escape on Superbowl Sunday, then you can return with Dream Boys to the Echo where they support Frankie Rose with Devon Williams.
