Dust off the black jacket (that is, if you’ve actually put it away) and meet the Rozzes. The Bakersfield-bred band of cousins – singer-guitarist Isaiah Navarro, guitarist Chan Shears, bassist Jacob Gonzalez and drummer Kyle Moreno – is garage-rocking it like it’s 2001, with an EP on the way of tightly wound rockers that are a little bit Strokes, a little bit Louis XIV. The Rozzes have no official releases yet, and some of the early tracks the band is playing are holdovers from Navarro’s previous project, Isaiah Navarro & the Tribe. The band is preparing to head into the studio to record new material; go ahead and party like it’s 2002.
