When the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion visit the Echo for a “Localchella” show on Wednesday night, it was a typically primal experience from one of the hardest-working bands around. The New Yorkers didn’t just squeeze in a couple were dates around their Friday gigs at Coachella; they plotted a whole West Coast tour around the festival, and by Saturday they will have played every day for 10 days. Take a day and have a cold beverage, guys. By the way, the band on Saturday releases a slab of 12-inch vinyl featuring their single of their Beastie Boys-Link Wray mash-up, “She’s On It/Jack The Ripper,” which has been a staple of their live show.
