This year’s Desert Daze was a loose, fun affair full of wild lights and wildly good rock ’n’ roll. There were well-received sets from headliners Liars, the Raveonettes and Blonde Redhead, although some technical issues that cut short Autolux’s set also plagued the latter. L.A. duo Deap Vally were joined by two additional vocalists, and there were strong early sets from Kikagaku Moyo, Kiev, Night Beats leading into equally good ones from DIIV and JJUUJJUU.
