When we first discovered Banks‘ bewitching and beguiling artistry in March 2013, we had a hunch her small of batch songs were bound to catch fire. After traveling the world and playing SXSW and Coachella and making plenty of year-end lists for 2013 (including this one), the Los Angeles singer-songwriter will finally release her debut full-length “Goddess” this fall. In anticipation of the record release, Banks continues to pull fans into her dark sonic world with new singles such as the Al Shux-produced “Drowning” and the Lil Silva-produced title track. Both are quick glimpses into the forthcoming album, and they’re beautifully intense as ever. Banks’ “Goddess” is slated for a Sept. 9 release via Harvest Records.
