Video: Criminal Hygiene, ‘Sold in the City’

L.A. pizza may not live up to NYC pizza, but it’s still sold here in the city. Echo Park’s neighborhood party boys Criminal Hygiene actually spend their days serving up pizza when they’re not on tour (one of them delivers for Tomato Pie and the other two can be found at Purgatory Pizza), albeit they may not be the best delivery guys. Didn’t order a half-eaten pizza? Too bad. Got some underwear on your pizza? Oops. Also, whatever you do, don’t steal a can of Coke. That’s what the hilariously Rachelyn Remz-directed video for “Sold in the City” jokingly depicts anyway. You may have not known your pizza delivery guy was in a boisterous garage-punk band, but you might know some others who have been on the other end of these deliveries too. Reactions provided by members of the Orwells, Bleached and White Lung. Criminal Hygiene’s “Withdrawn EP is out now via Cultist and their “Raid” 7-inch split with Dagos is also available via Summer Bummer Records.
