Fresh off three sold-out club shows in May and prepping their sophomore album, Dead Sara highlights a strangely patchwork Saturday night lineup for the 2014 Pershing Square Summer Concert Series. The free, all-ages shows run six Saturdays starting July 12, and Dead Sara plays on July 19 with long-running rockers Tonic.

Pershing Square (532 S. Olive St., downtown) will also host lunchtime concerts on Wednesdays, tribute bands on Thursday nights, movie screenings on Friday nights and salsa on Sunday evenings.

The Saturday night rock series includes veteran bands, spinoffs of veteran bands and folk-noir troubadour Stan Ridgway (Aug. 9, with the English Beat). Included: Information Society, Survivor, the Original Wailers and ELO spinoff the Orchestra. Shows start at 8 p.m. After the jump, the full lineup:

July 12 – The Orchestra and Who’s Your Daddy
July 19 – Dead Sara and Tonic
July 26 – When In Rome, Missing Persons and Information Society
Aug. 2 – Survivor and Lou Gramm (of Foreigner)
Aug. 9 – Stan Ridgway and the English Beat
Aug. 16 – The Original Wailers and Dread Zeppelin
