From the Neighbourhood to Arctic Monkeys, it seems that a majority of bands have taken quite the turn with one theme in common; the darker the sexier. Trading in shimmering bright melodies for heavy and shadow-bouncing synths seems to be all the rage today, and it, of course, rarely comes without falsetto. L.A.’s duo Dead Times, who gave us upbeat and sexy syncopation in previous songs like “Inner Gold” and “Feel,” follows suit and blows out the candle completely this time around. Their new single “Every Moment” is a tender R&B tune where the senses are gently caressed one second and succumbing to a new, exciting feeling the next second. From the very first finger snap to the last echoed howl, the track is seduction and borderline taboo.
